Check out the Blue Spring State Park, some 2,600 acres including the largest natural spring on the Blue John River the designated home of the Manatees. Mid November to Mid March sees the Manatees enjoying the warmth of the natural spring for the winter during this time you are not allowed in the water but you are able to see quite clearly the manatees and their young.
The springs crystal clear waters at 73˚ can be enjoyed by swimmers, snorkelers and certified scuba divers with a partner. The river is popular for fishing, canoeing, and boating.
